my computer works!
yes, once again this warrants an exclamation point.
after a ridiculous amount of time out of commission, my computer started working tonight. why, i don’t know but i’ll take it.
guess what i’m doing? trying to crank out this last version of my vegetarian piece. i hope to get it live tonight.

my computer isn’t working!
yes, I think that is worthy of an exclamation point.
for all intents and purposes, my computer isn’t working, meaning the battery is charged but it won’t turn on.
for normal folks, this might not be a big deal, but I use my computer for:
- writing and editing pieces (like the last draft of this ridiculously late vegetarianism essay)
- surfing the internet
- my sole source of tv
in other words, with my computer out of commission, i’m missing my primary methods of writing, news-gathering, and frivolous entertainment. ( Read more )

control a controversy
i’ve read some discussion about the control a woman, in particular, and control a person toys. i think all of the commentary i’ve read has been on female-focused sites that i visit, so it’s not surprising that they are quite offended by them. i think primarily the control something remotes are funny.
