“thank you, sausi”
whew! i seem to have an ebb and flow with posts. apparently, i’ve hit a post explosion right now.
here’s my latest piece: thank you, sausi. it’s in recognition of my best friend from jh/hs and all of the support she gave me before, during, and after my eating disorder treatment. ( Read more )

attitude adjustment
oh, hank, hank, hank…
i have to say that my problem with hank is very self-centered. i was first bothered by him when, at a mccain/palin rally he called the current president “barack hussein obama.” as my mom said when i told her, “that’s his name.” i replied, “yeah, but he meant it in a derogatory way.”
but let’s go way back.

snow envy
i admit it – every time i hear about the snow storms on the east coast and the midwest, i feel envious. okay, let’s be real – i feel jealous.

real housewives of dc
this probably won’t be my last time writing about real housewives of dc, but i want to write right now.
i went to college at howard university (same as stacie turner), lived in washington dc for about four and a half years, and my experiences in dc were nothing like the rhodc women.
that said, i can’t help but watch every episode of this boring show and every time i do, i want to jet over to dc. man, i thought i missed it but now, i miss it even more.

God bless the broken road
i’m feeling pretty raw right now. a couple days ago, i wrote a piece that’s now live on huffington post:
remembering jay on memorial day
today is memorial day and i just watched ‘the view’.
the last segment of today’s show featured 4troops, a group of veterans who formed a singing group. they performed rascall flatt’s “bless the broken road”.
i don’t know when i first heard that song, but that was one of my jay songs. so between writing my latest huffington post piece (which i hadn’t planned on doing) and then today being memorial day and then hearing veterans sing “bless the broken road”, i was feeling pretty overwhelmed with emotions.
all the best on memorial day.
